Brief introduction of Hongshan site
In 2010, China Architectural Design and Research Institute was entrusted to prepare the master plan of Hongshan National Archaeological Site Park. The nature of the park planning is as follows: Taking Hongshan tomb site as the connotation, taking natural ecological wetland as the core, relying on Wu culture, integrating natural and wild ecological wetland, charming water culture and rustic rural scenery, the park has the functions of wetland ecological resources protection, scientific research, science popularization exhibition, science popularization education, agricultural production, artistic creativity, tourism and leisure Can, to show the local culture, agricultural culture, water conservancy culture, farming culture, Wu culture, people and wetland harmonious coexistence as the characteristics of Jiangnan Heritage Park.
The overall planning of Hongshan National Archaeological Site Park covers Hongshan tombs and surrounding areas, with a total area of about 7.5 square kilometers. It mainly includes Museum exhibition area, site exhibition area, simulated archaeological exhibition area, agricultural ecological exhibition area, ecological wetland exhibition area and other functional areas. In April 2008, the Hongshan site museum was completed and opened; in August 2009, the ecological wetland exhibition area of Hongshan National Archaeological Site Park was officially completed and opened. In 2016, the construction of the demonstration pilot project for the protection of badger mound and stalk barley mound of Hongshan site was basically completed. The completion of Museum, ecological wetland exhibition area and site exhibition area has initially formed a "point, line and surface" tour route of archaeological site park.
